What is STV Racking?

STV Racking makes custom tool organization systems for shops, trailers, vans, and work trucks. If you're a plumber, electrician, carpenter, mechanic, or you just like your garage organized, STV builds the racking, drawers, and inserts to keep your tools where you can actually find them.

Who's behind STV Racking?

Andy Glass started STV Racking because he needed a better way to organize tools in his own trailer. What began as a personal fix turned into a full system after he posted it online and people wanted one too. Every tray, drawer, and bracket is still designed, CNC-milled, and 3D printed in-house. When you order from STV, you're working directly with Andy and his team, not a call center.

Where is STV Racking located?

Fargo, North Dakota.

Do you sell toolboxes?

No. STV Racking makes the racking systems, trays, drawers, and organizers that go around and inside your toolboxes. Toolboxes and containers (Packout, ToughSystem, Systainer, etc.) are not included with any order unless a listing specifically says otherwise.

What toolbox brands does STV Racking work with?

Our systems are built around Milwaukee Packout, Dewalt ToughSystem, Systainer, Ridgid Pro Tool Storage, and several other brands. Check each product page for exact compatible models. If you don't see your setup listed, reach out. We're always adding new fits.

I don't see what I need. Can you make it?

Probably. We're always adding new products and variations. If you don't see it on the site, use the contact form to tell us what you're looking for.

Products

What are STV Racking products made of?

Depends on the product. Our plywood components (towers, drawers, shelving) use UV Birch Plywood. Smaller organizers and inserts are 3D printed, typically in ABS, with some items made from PETG or HDPE depending on the application. Each product page lists the exact material.

What thickness of plywood is used in STV Racking products?

STV Racking builds most current products in 3/4" plywood. If you need 1/2" material for an older system or a specific reason, use the Design page or email us to start a custom order.

Will my product's color match the photos exactly?

For 3D printed items, color can vary between orders. You may receive black, red, or gray depending on what's in stock when your order is made. If color matching matters for your setup, mention it in your order notes or email us before ordering.

Are STV Racking's 3D printed products heat resistant?

Reasonably, but not indestructible. Products made from ABS offer solid heat resistance compared to PETG or PLA, but ABS can still warp or deform if left in direct sunlight, a hot vehicle interior, or near any heat source for extended periods. Heat-related damage isn't covered under warranty, so treat your organizers the way you'd treat anything else that lives in a truck bed in July.

Do your products work with Dewalt, Ridgid, or other systems besides Milwaukee?

Yes. Several of our tower and drawer products are available in Dewalt ToughSystem 2.0, Ridgid Pro Tool Storage, and Systainer configurations in addition to Milwaukee Packout. Look for the size or tower-type dropdown on the product page.

Can I mix and match brands within one STV Racking system?

Yes, and a lot of our customers do exactly that. Our gallery has real setups combining Packout, Systainers, and other brands on the same tower.

Do STV Racking products come assembled?

Plywood systems (towers, drawers, shelving) ship flat-packed and require assembly. Most can be put together in under an hour with basic tools. 3D printed organizers and inserts arrive ready to install, no assembly required.

What do I need to assemble a tower or drawer kit?

Wood glue and your choice of mechanical fasteners. Glue, brad nails, and screws are not included. Our recommended method: wood glue, then 18-gauge brad nails, then predrill with a #8 countersink bit and secure with a 1.5" #8 SPAX screw. Clamping joints while the glue sets gives you the cleanest finish.

Is there an assembly video?

Yes. You can find it on our Assembly page, and a QR code linking to it ships with plywood kits.

My tower feels wobbly. Is that normal?

Yes, until it's mounted. Towers are designed to be secured to the wall of your shop, trailer, or van. Make sure it's plumb before you screw it in, and the wobble goes away.

Can I get a custom-sized tower?

Height is easy to adjust. Width is standard across our systems. If you need something outside standard dimensions, a quick call or email gets you a custom quote.

Do the drawers come with dividers?

Depends on the product. Some drawer kits include optional dividers you can install however you like, split into equal sections or leave open. Check the specific listing for what's included with your size.

Custom Orders & Design

I want something built for my specific trailer or van. Where do I start?

Head to our Design page. Fill out the form with your measurements, tell us what tool systems you want included, and we'll help you maximize the space. If your setup isn't already configured on the site, we'll work with you directly to put together the right combination.

Can I design my own layout instead of working with you directly?

Yes. We offer a downloadable modeling file (SketchUp) so you can design your own space, plus a video walkthrough of how to use it.

What if the exact organizer I need isn't listed on the site?

Several of our organizers offer a "Totally Custom" option. Select it, then email us a sketch with your dimensions (a napkin sketch is genuinely fine) and we'll build from there.

Do custom orders cost more or take longer?

Custom work is generally quoted individually since it depends on complexity. Reach out through the Design page or contact form and we'll give you a straight answer before you commit to anything.

Can I talk to someone before ordering something custom or expensive?

Yes. For larger custom builds, we're happy to do a consultation call or work it out over email before you order.

Customer Service

How long does an order take to ship?

3D printed/Small Order: 1-5 days. Larger orders: 7-10 days.

Are your products made to order?

Yes. Everything is built after you order it rather than pulled from a shelf, which is part of why lead times exist. It also means we can make small adjustments for you along the way.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, on orders over $100 within the US.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes, but shipping costs for Canadian orders aren't calculated automatically at checkout. Email us or use the contact form and we'll get you a shipping quote before you order.

Why are the larger kits so expensive?

Our plywood systems are heavy, and that's reflected in the price. Shipping is built into the cost of our larger kits rather than tacked on separately at checkout.

What if my shipping cost doesn't match what I expected?

We sell a Shipping Voucher for cases where an order needs an additional shipping charge applied after the fact. If we reach out about this, that's what it's for.

What's your return policy?

All STV Racking products are custom-built after you order, so we run a no-refund policy across the board. If something arrives defective, though, we'll make it right with a return, exchange, or replacement at our discretion. Reach out and we'll take care of you.

Is heat damage covered under warranty?

No. Our 3D printed products handle a normal range of heat and cold, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, a hot vehicle interior, or other heat sources can cause warping. That kind of damage isn't covered.

What if a part is missing or broken when my order arrives?

Contact us right away with photos and your order details. Since we build to order and stand behind our work, we'll sort it out.

How do I get in touch with STV Racking?

Email STVRacking@gmail.com, call or text 701-212-2575, or use the contact form on the site. You're reaching Andy and his team directly, not a support queue.
